Dr. Susan Wais takes happiness and well-being very seriously. Her passion for increasing happiness led her to undertake a masters in Applied Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Since completing her degree in 2009, Dr. Wais continues to develop and deliver classes teaching people the practical skills needed to enhance their own happiness and well-being and that of their families. She has taught hundreds of parents and teachers in both public and private schools throughout San Diego. Dr. Wais is also passionate about bringing her expertise in positive psychology to her life coaching practice.
Prior to her work in positive psychology, Dr. Wais dedicated her professional life to teaching parenting skills. She taught parenting, communication, and assertiveness training workshops for over 25 years.
In addition to her Master’s degree in Positive Psychology, Dr. Wais holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She leaves in La Jolla, California with her husband and two dogs.
